Need to know how many calories in a pint of beer?
There are many different sources for how many calories in all the foods we eat every day, for example US FDA data or various other government bodies, lots of different online databases for calorie counting, some of which list in their web pages for free the number of calories for foods like apples and tomatoes, others of which are paid for subscriptions, and some which provide some swishy software solutions where you can enter what you’ve eaten each day and how much exercise you’ve done.
My favourite is a website called Fit and Trim Healthy Weight Loss. Here are the key links there for calories in food:
Free calorie counter
How many calories in food index page
Then there are index pages for how many calories in each of the common food groups:
Calories in fruit
Calories in vegetables
Calories in nuts and cereals
Calories in meat and fish
Calories in dairy products
Calories in alcohol and drinks
Calories in meals and snacks
Finally, they have pages for 100s of individual foods, listing calories as well as fat and vitamin content, like these:
Calories in an apple
Calories in a banana
Calories in guinness
How many calories in beer
Calories in a tomato
Calories in a potato
Calories in eggs
How many calories in vodka
Have fun counting the calories!
